Use the benefit printed or activated for your trip. Spot Saver schedules entry to general screening; PreCheck changes the screening process; CLEAR handles identity verification before TSA; premium and Touchless ID depend on airline participation.
Spot Saver
Best for a departing general-screening traveler who wants a free appointment. It does not preserve PreCheck benefits, and the current canonical program page lists Checkpoint 4.
PreCheck and CLEAR
PreCheck is a trusted-traveler screening program used at designated checkpoints. CLEAR is a separate identity-verification service; CLEAR members still complete TSA screening, and a traveler needs both benefits to use CLEAR with PreCheck.
Premium and Touchless ID
Premium lanes depend on participating airlines and qualifying boarding passes. Touchless ID is also airline-dependent and appears only at listed checkpoints. Verify eligibility in the airline flow rather than assuming the lane is available.

Choose a checkpoint offering CLEAR general screening and allow time for screening itself.
Your airline offers Touchless ID or premium access
Eligibility is tied to the airline and trip, not merely to the checkpoint name.
Confirm activation in the airline app or boarding pass before relying on that lane.
