Things to do in Seattle

Museum of Flight

A substantial aviation museum south of downtown and relatively close to the SEA Airport corridor.

The useful answer

Should this fit your day?

Best for
Aviation enthusiasts, families, and travelers with a half day rather than a narrow pre-boarding window.
Time to protect
Plan at least two to three hours for a useful visit; serious aviation fans can easily spend longer.
Cruise-day fit
This is not a walkable cruise-terminal stop. It works best after disembarkation when luggage is handled and the next trip continues toward SEA.
From the terminals
Both cruise terminals require a road transfer. Pier 91 starts farther north, so protect more travel time than a Pier 66 itinerary.
Before a flight
Its position south of downtown can make it a sensible final attraction before SEA, but only when the remaining flight buffer is explicit.

What to know before you go

  1. 01

The museum publishes daily hours of 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with Thanksgiving and Christmas closures.

  2. 02

The official visitor page lists free parking.

  3. 03

The collection is large enough that a rushed one-hour stop will cover only a fraction of the exhibits.

  4. 04

The museum offers free admission on the first Thursday of each month from 5–9 p.m.; verify that event before relying on it.

Recheck hours, admission, special-event access, and exhibit closures with the museum before travel.
